David Lammin (Head Coach) and owner of SC Surfschools possesses over 20 years of outdoor recreation and coaching experience. David has previously worked for Tropicsurf, the Surf Travel Company and was co-owner of Surfing Services Australia. David has a solid background in both leisure and sport management, encompassing key management roles with IMG Motorsport, Australian Resorts and ANZ Stadium. David's enthusiasm and love for surfing is highlighted when teaching students of all ages and ability levels. His attention to detail, proven teaching methodologies and relaxed coaching style have inspired many students to continue their pursuit of this fantastic sport!

Leighton Higgo (Head Coach) Born and bred on the beaches of Durban, South Africa!  Leighton started surfing in 1979, when his step father took him to the beach, pointed him in the direction of the ocean, and said 'go for it!"............. the rest was history!  Since arriving in Australia in 1986, Leighton has worked in middle management in the retail sector, with recent experience with a not-for-profit community organisation which focused on people with a disability.  Leighton’s current workload, includes lecturing in Health and Fitness, maintaining his personal and group training business, and his first passion....teaching people the wonderful sport of surfing!
Leighton’s specialty is private tuition.  His great sense of humour and easy going nature make him a favourite amongst clients of all ages and ability.  Leighton sincerely looks forward to seeing you in and amongst it!

Eben Lammin (Senior Coach) boasts an impressive resume, possessing years of experience in surfing, outdoor recreation and coaching. Previous roles include, one of Currimundi Recreation Centre's senior outdoor instructors (surfing, rock climbing, canoeing), White Water Rafting Guide, Swimming Instructor and Recreation Officer. Eben brings to SC Surfschools a fantastic repertoire of coaching skills and strategies. His wealth of knowledge and surfing experience as a qualified and accredited Surfing Queensland Surf Coach prove a vital link in the coaching team.

Tiara Kettleton (Assistant Coach) is instrumental in bringing to SC Surfschools fresh and innovative teaching strategies ideal for the beginner to basic intermediate surfer. Tiara's vibrant personality, supportive nature and positive approach to her surf coaching make her an extremely valuable asset to the team!

Sarah Pawley (Assistant Coach) Our most recent staff member to join the team brings to the school loads of enthusiasm, fresh coaching ideas and a true love of surfing. Sarah's willingness to assist the rest of the coaching team and her continued positive support of our learner surfers, cements her place as one of SC Surfschools up and coming surf coachingl talents.
